In the wake of the sharp decline on Wall Street on Friday, stocks at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange dropped across the board today.

The MAOF Index of the 25 leading shares lost 7.01% by 14:30, to 466.53, while the TA 100 Index fell 7.66% to 462.64.

The Tel-TECH index of technological shares plunged 15.61% to 524.84.

The drop was in line with previous estimates.

Daily turnover by midday was a high NIS 613 million.

The decline was led by the technology shares such as Nice Systems which lost 15.6% following a 10.6% drop on Friday on Nasdaq. Formula Systems decreased 13/3% after losing 11.5% in New York
