What turns you on?
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Sense of humor.
Brains.
Reading books and wanting to discuss them.
Looking me right in the eyes when we talk.
**sigh**
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
a little giggle coming out of a big man.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
sense of humornot afraid to be eccentric or goofy
interested in what I have to say
likes to read books [I hate illiterate people]
has a passion for something...those that don't care about anything are going nowhere.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Chipped toenail polish. I don't know why. Really. And I know I'm in the turn-ON forum.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Jeff, and only Jeff, would love my toes.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Still wet soap smelling freshly showered skin.Yum.
Early morning, hazy, sleepy, slow sex from behind, spoon style.
Flowers.
a good sense of humor, including deep down belly laughing.
slow dancing, at home.
kissing.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Mine are Tracy's.A man who reads, that is the sexiest - I mean, read a damn book, people!
Pamie, were you being a dirty girl and wanting to know what REALLY turns us on? Hmm. Well, it's not chipped toenail polish...or anything at all having to do with toes.
I think what turns me on the most is confidence - not cockiness but somebody who knows what they're good at and does it with style.

holding handswatching him when he's just out of the shower and getting dressed
a guy that will let me give him a facial....and we hadn't even slept together
a guy that listens to me...even when I'm rambling. yes, i quiz him later
a guy that doesn't act like he's all amazed that I know stuff about sports
oh and a guy that actually remembers stuff...important and not so important stuff.....birthdays, anniversaries, first dates, first kiss
this is kind of a turn on and it pisses me off all at the same time....when you walk into a room or whatever and you know girls are staring at him. and he only wants you. nanyh nanyh nanyh nanyh nanyh
he obviously can't mind when my immaurity shows.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
or when my typing sucks.that's immaturity....not immaurity or whatever I said.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Spaz girls get all my attention. They are few and far between. I have known only two. I dated the first one, and am dating the second.Perhaps spaz is not the word I should be using. Let us say passionate instead. I like women who can grip their heart in a plea to move me, be it to campaign for the environment, or get off the couch.
-- Anonymous, April 28, 2000
Pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, making love at midnight and the taste of champagne.or not.
Uh...for real? I would say cleverness. Cleverness is a huge turn- on from me. You can pun your way into my heart, it's true. Jen

oxford shirts. i love buttons

Holy crap, I always knew that the whole being-a-dork-and-staying-home- with-a-book thing would pay off someday! Maybe I just need to do my heavy reading on park benches instead of in the apartment. In all seriousness, it's all about personality. If someone can make me laugh, make me smile and make me think, I'm pretty much putty in her hands. --Mike

OKay, this seems to be kind of an appropriate forum for this...I've been wondering a while.
Do you shave your cootch? Trim? Guys, do you like it when we do that?
I personally started shaving it about five years ago because I was frusterated with hair. (The hair on my head went, too, and I seriously think that if someone hadn't stopped me my eyebrows would have been next, but that's neither here nor there.) I've had some people express revulsion, some be totally floored and have an instant hard on just thinking about it. So I'm trying to find a consensus.
Anyone?
-Meghan
-- Anonymous, April 29, 2000
Meghan, i'm with you. It started when i had surgery and i never went back. My boyfriend seems to like.
-- Anonymous, April 29, 2000
But it's so itchy when it tries to grow back in! Do you know what it's like to have a horrible itch when you're at a meeting?
-- Anonymous, April 29, 2000
Intelligence and wit. Every since time.I had a boyfriend who liked shaved parts because it meant he "wouldn't get hair between his teeth." That was a big turn on for him. He actually turned into foreplay by using this electric razor. oooh vibration. . . .
-- Anonymous, April 29, 2000
re shaving: I've not known a single guy to be opposed to it. In fact a lot of guys who aren't into oral sex suddenly will become interested...Leave a "landing strip" though so you don't feel so much like you're twelve... and if you do it every other day, and put lotion on the stubble on in-between days, the growth won't itch as much. When you first start it is pretty bad but you adapt. And then when you stop for a while, it's like, ew, hair....
as for my own turn-ons: sexy accents, or a guy who has a good singing voice. *melt*
-- Anonymous, April 29, 2000
hrrrmmm , not sure if i am posting 'what i find attractive' or 'what turns me on'..... but it should be said that confidence is a priority (considering i am not -confident) a nice smile , sense of humour , style (in that they have their own style , not showy girl), wit , a taste in music which could be described as eclectic......apreciation of red wines and vodka (not mixed as that would be just wrong).........and no, i havent being watching 'weird science' lately. btw , as for the shaving thing : yes, this lad likes it.
-- Anonymous, April 30, 2000
My God, Pamie! What has your forum become? I mean, I am all for a little racy talk but, can we please put an embargo on the word "cooch" and all derivatives of cooch for ever and ever?It makes me embarassed.
Cooch.
-- Anonymous, April 30, 2000
Glasses. I love glasses. Not dorky glasses. Wire rims, or those new masculinized cat-eye ones. Rowrrrr...
I'm a big fan of arms, too.
Anyone who tells me they can see me on Saturday Night Live (you'd be surprised how many times I've gotten that) gets bumped up on my Hero list.
When my boyfriend speaks Russian to his parents (they originally are from Russia), I just sit there in absolute awe. It's even cuter when he mixes Russian and English.
Okay, this sounds dumb, but I love it when a guy is on top of me when we're kissing (just kissing) and I can feel our stomachs touching. I don't know whether it's the warmth, or what, but ... oh, man. Sets the pulse a-racin'.
-- Anonymous, April 30, 2000
A man who reads, and likes to talk about it. A man that could build a house if he was so inclined. Certain goatees and the wearers of them drive me to thoughts of intense pleasure. Blue eyes, glasses, and the number one turn on for me is a huge sense of humor. Any kind of sense of humor.
-- Anonymous, May 01, 2000
Definitely somebody who is funny, smart and clever. If somebody never makes me laugh, they're just all wrong... By the same token, they have to be able to put up with a large amount of silliness coming from my direction...On the physical side, long hair is good, big, soulful eyes and I'm a sucker for exotic looks.
And someone who is challenging -- that's a huge turn-on.
-- Anonymous, May 01, 2000
Shoulders - when I see them move under a t-shirt; watching him cook or make coffee or wash dishes - I usually can't let the poor boy finish what he's doing 'cause it's too ultrasexy (especially if he's in jeans and barefeet, or boxer shorts and nothing else). Talking in bed - joking around being easy going flirting. When a guy looks at you like he's happy to see you - when you can see that intensity in his eyes. When he touches my hair, or the back of my neck. Sponteniety - when a guy is ready to just pick up and do something with a few minutes notice. Also - I'm a big tease, and when a guy figures out that I *want* him to make me kiss him - well then we're halfway there. Oh and the ear thing. heLLO! A guy who doesn't mind listening to my rambling chattering - I go off on about ten tangents - and if a guy can keep up, *and* remember something I've said - I'm amazed and extremely pleased and very likely to get smoochy. Also, if a guy will flirt - subtley - with me in a public place; if we're surrounded by people and he looks at me from across the room, and just raises an eyebrow... *siiigghhh*. Or come up to me and say something about going home and getting nekkid - yeah. I dig that. The last two only apply to someone I'm *with*. Not strangers. Just to make that clear ;p

A strong, sexy back and a sense of humor. Not necessarily in that order.
-- Anonymous, May 01, 2000
What turns me on?I am a man of intelligence and stuff like big boobs and butt and stuff like that isn't what all guys go for.I like girls that are intelligent, funny, nice, and of course pretty. What turns me on though would be like when my girlfriend gives me a back rub,and how they dress.I love it when girles wear those tight(or)half shirts that come a little above the belly button.RRRRrrrrrrr.
-- Anonymous, May 01, 2000
Hmmm....Any woman who resists the pick up lines of my friends. My good looking, pleasure seeking pimp buddies say things to women such as: "HEY YOU, CMERE!" and "ARE THOSE REAL, THOSE ARE TOO DAMN PERFECT TO BE REAL!"My friends seem to hook up with a lot of women whenever we go out.
So, any woman who turns them down wins my instant admiration.

turn ons:
men with a sense of humor, a bald spot or a receeding hairline, and glasses.. oh and if they are tall (which at my staggering 5'2 isn't to hard to be). make me laugh and make me smile and i am putty in your hands. oh and recently the baldies with a goatee have been kinda hot!
on the shaving note:
i am also repulsed by female hair below the neck. shaving if you do it every day or every other day gives you a nice clean feeling and i have so far had no complaints. if you wait more than a day or two, yes it itches like hell... just like your legs do if you neglect them.

confidence to do crazy stuff and not care what people think the ability to hold intellectual conversation cowboy hats (don't laugh)
-- Anonymous, May 01, 2000
deep honest laughter, someone who just has to reach out and softly touch you now and again, a good but not strong smell (just a hint of perfume so you have to really take it in to get a scense of it) kissing, holding hands, laying in a spot of sun on the floor together and reading.I once was introduced to a girl who was shy and while talking to me sorta slipped out of one of her shoes (Minnie Mouse style shoes, sorry not up on what shoe styles are actually called)and played with it with her foot. She was wearing those little white socks with a bit of lace around the top. (this was a long time ago, I don't imagine they are worn anymore) Man I had to go sit down as I was suddenly stuck in the on position.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
LONG HAIR, most definately. I prefer straight, brown, and shoulder- length, to be exact. I have a horrible time even entertaining the idea of short haired men being attractive.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
laughter, beautiful laughter. a deep voice an octave or two below average. and/or an inticing accent. intelligence. self- confidence. a love of me and my flaws. scars. and a love of cuddling.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
No no no! Shaving...down there...is pure evil! I've never writen to this thing before but my passion about this has forced me to break my silence! And oral sex seems to be the same either way...
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
Having my neck kissed.
Afternoon sex.
The shape of my boyfriend's arms. And his back. And his butt. Hehe.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
what attracts me: great sense of humor and the easy laugh that follows. and a man that blushes easily. mmm re: shaving - done it and will never do it again. was rather wax instead.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
Melissa-So, you're the one that all of these guys have been growing their hair out for! I couldn't figure it out. I was gonna go post long hair on "turn offs," but now I see they're all doing it for you, and I don't want to ruin your good time.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
Huge d--ks. And, I mean huge. Over 13 inches. That's all it takes.
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
Oh Christ almighty, I will never ever shave, trim, depilate, wax, anything down there ever. I forget this once a year, when bikini time rolls around, and I try to just take a little off my thighs, whatever, and even if I don't cut myself (which I almost always do) I wind up going "I miss my pubes!" within even a couple of hours.Okay, okay, what I like. Nobody understands my taste in men: I like lanky guys my height or just a few inches taller. And I mean really lanky; I can't stand muscles at all. Sexy lips are important but bad teeth just cancel that shit out. Back hair's okay. Okay, nobody gets this -- I'm really impressed with straight guys who aren't afraid to kiss guys. That's really manly and sexy. Tell me somebody else thinks that too?
-- Anonymous, May 02, 2000
Turn on o' the month: girls with nicely defined, but still slender shoulder & arm muscles. Yow. Girls who look me in the eye. Girls who smoke an occasional cigarette (no, not a fetish thing... guess I like the attitude). Girls with self confidence. As for shaving... eek, once you've had a daughter and changed a diaper or two... seriously, nothing like a nice, soft, er, bush... long as it's not a shrubbery.
And hey, Emma's guys-who-kiss-guys post... two of the best guys I know are gay, and on separate occasions, each one felt the need to give me a peck on the cheek. In both cases, I felt just as *honored* as if a cool, sweet girl had done it... but I didn't kiss 'em back. .
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Yes, Pamie, it's all for me. Hopefully my preferences alone will make the Caesar haircut obsolete and send the ambiguous Short Jock Haircut on a downward popularity spiral, along with the crewcut.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
I used to say "no!" to long haired guys, but now I think it's pretty nice. two guys I've liked recently have/had long hair.heh.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
OK - things I like in a guy: First the physical things * Clean cut hair - off the ears and shave the neck please. * No stubble * Taller than me - I'm 5'4" and if I can lay my head on your shoulder without too much stooping or tiptoeing, then that's the right height. * Dark hair - brown or black - blonde just doesn't do it for me. * A little bit of chest hair and that nice line leading from the navel south. * Strong hands - clean and well manicured. Bonus points for giving a good massage. * A nice mouth - Of course this is best judged by a good kiss. The not so physical things: * A good sense of humor and can make me laugh * Educated - I'm being a bit snobbish here, but if I went to college I want my boy to have done it too. * Openness and Honesty * A good lead when dancing the two-step or swing. * Manners - a man that says Ma'am and Sir can make my knees buckle * Playfulness * Mechanically inclined - always very impressed with guys that know how to fix things, make things out of nothing and basically can do anything they put their mind too.

tatoos. I have yet to sleep with a man who is without any.nice arms, shoulders and back. It can bw wiry-muscular or big- muscular, but there has to be something going on there.
smell of a leather jacket
giving you their good helmet to wear while they use the shitty spare one.
not having body issues or sexual hang-ups. confidence is more important than appearence or experience.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Oh, and I trim down there and wax the sides. I'm Italian, I have to take a lot of meaures to control body hair. Luckily I work at a salon, free waxing is nice.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
Emma, I'm right there with you about straight guys who aren't afraid to kiss other guys. A definite turn-on.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
So, I just realized I haven't answered this yet, so here goes."My turn-ons include..."
holding hands. a kiss just underneath the jaw bone. biting. playing footsie. hard music. a girl showing just a tiny bit of tummy. strippers. tan lines. sweaty boys who just want you now. those little creases/dimples in a man's hips right below the stomach before the finish line. dancing. driving a stick shift (watching someone. i don't know how to do it). italian food. wine and cigarettes. water. candles. wax. remembering something i may have mentioned once a while ago. surprises. and dammit, you better make me laugh.
-- Anonymous, May 03, 2000
A nice, large, well defined clitoris, one that stands up on it's own like a monument, one that has a round head like a large marble, one that rolls between my lips like a drinking straw, one that's attached to a woman who knows how to use it to its highest pleasure. That, and a snorkel.

Turn ons. So many.Guys who are passionate about something artistic, be it music, theatre, painting, sculpting, whatever. But not over passionate. I'm not talking the artsy types. No artsy types. When he is willing to listen to me ramble about anything, and better yet, will ramble on with me. When he's not afraid to admit he talks to his mom multiple times a week. When every time we talk, I find out we have more in common. When he remembers something little I said to him weeks before.
Spontaneous neck/back rubs. So nice. When he reaches for my hand in the middle of a movie and has to rub his fingers against mine. Being held. Hugs are incredible. Kissing me on the forehead. Not being afraid to kiss me goodnight in front of people. When he's sweaty and gross from whatever and attacks me with a hug and kiss anyway. Skin to skin contact. Laying together on the couch watching TV. Feeling him stroke my hair.
Physically, I find myself attracted to guys taller than me (Not hard at my 5'3"). I like a little bit of muscle, but not a lot. Strong arms but not incredibly buff. Flat stomachs are nice, but even nicer is when the guy has a slightly rounded stomach. Makes me feel better about my figure. I can't stand short short haircuts. I like to be able to run my fingers into a guy's hair. But I'm not a fan of long hair either. Cut neatly above the ears is great, but not a buzz. Make sense?
I'll stop now. I'm getting wistful for my boy.
