There is a gap in the evolutional stages of man that no scientist can explain. I have long subscribed to the theory that an extraterrestrial source (perhaps god or aliens) caused this huge leap forward. What is your take on this?

it depends. identify the gap with a little particularity so i can research it a little. then, how certain of an explanation are you expecting the scientist to provide? you certainly are entitled to put forth the proposition that, unless the scientist explains the gap with absolute certainty, then aliens or god must have had a hand in human development [call it the ape and the monolith theory]. but do you see what you're doing? you are assigning to the scientist a heavy "burden of proof", and assigning almost no "burden of proof" to yourself. if the burdens are reversed, do you have any of the type of evidence you are demanding from the scientist is support of your own theory?

I believe very much on what you are saying, look at the facts, there are unexplained things in the world that are said to be a part of evulution, and theses monuments or items are hard to explain how they were made, scientist say that it was not made by a man but some life form of higher intelligence, these are just some clues that these greater beings, helped us with our leap of evulution, do you think that some ancient prehistoric being, such as a primape type human, just made the wheel and it just kind of caught on, i don't think so. what do you think?

The gap, torey, to which I am refering is the sudden appearance of a human that walked upright. There should be millions of years leading up to that whereas there are a mere few thousand. Futher more proof has been found that homo erectus and cromagnum man not only existed at the same time, but actually crossbread within one another's tribes. How could the huge leap be made by some early humans and not all even though they lived in the same area? As for the burden of proof, yes, I do put it on the scientists because they are the experts who specialize in this field and have devoted their lives to finding (and proving) the answers. So I say to them: "Where are the answers?"

Exactly Lejes. Have you read the Earth Chronicles by Zechariah Sitchin? Explains the alien factor and is backed up by thousands of clay tablets in vaious museums. Made more sense to me than anything I've ever read in the Bible.
