Randolph Mantooth on May Day?greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread |
Does anyone remember Randolph Mantooth from Emergency!? He played one of the paramedics--if anyone has TVLand, I'm sure you'll know who I'm talking about. Anyway, I thought I saw him as the cop in the beginning of May Day (the one talking to Benton about the shooter.) My sister had such a crush on him when we were kids, so I'd love to tell her that he was on ER.

That was him Genny. I wasn't paying attention to the credits in the beginning, but he might be listed on them.

YES! I noticed him too, but I thought I was seeing things! I used to love that show -- but nobody else I know even remembers it so they couldn't help me out with the identification. I didn't notice if his name was in the credits. Good eyes, Genny!

Do you remember that Kevin Tighe (Randy's old partner) was on an earlier episode playing an old cop. I think Carol was debating taking her MCATs at the time.

Linda mentioned several threads down that 'John Gage' was in "May Day". I had such a crush on him! And no, his name wasn't in the opening credits.

When I saw "May Day" I immediately thought that the police officer was Randolph Mantooth also. I taped the episode, but his name was not listed in the opening credits. Someone accidently taped over the last 5 minutes (aughhh!)of the tape, so I couldn't check the closing credits. But from looking at him and hearing his voice, I would be very surprised if it wasn't Randy.

Yes, yes, yes - that was Randolph Mantooth. I could never forget the face of my first love. I wrote my first fan letter to him. Johnny Gage was my hero I was going to grow up and go to California and get a guest spot on Emergency 51 and John Gage was going to fall in love with my character and Randolph was going to fall in love with me and we were going to live happily ever after and I was going to be a series regular. As people have mentioned on other threads, he was my first bedroom poster-boy too. I saw a long time ago that he was doing a daytime soap but I don't remember which one. I just know that when ever I hear anything about Topanga Canyon even now close to 20 years after that 1st fan letter, I still instantly think of Randolph Mantooth.

I laughed out loud in surprise when I saw him. I loved watching "Emergency" and it just seemed so appropriate somehow that he should be on "ER" in some way. I had a mad crush on him back then, too!

I hope they bring him back next season! I too had a major crush on Johnny Gage years and years ago.
