My 4 year-old Maine Coon has no interest in playing with toys. He occupies himself by looking out the window or grooming himself (he's a champ in this department). He pays no attention to catnip or any type of toy (and I've bought just about every type). I've tried giving him crumpled up paper or spools, and still, no interest. I've only had him for about 9 months, and am afraid he is dreadfully bored. Any suggestions for my big, handsome guy in terms of fun playthings? Thank you.

My only suggestion is, if you don't have any other cats, it sounds like he needs a friend! What a difference when I brought in a friend for my kitty. Now I have three! They all get along well. My MC is a 22lb boy who loves playing with his buddies. I would never again just own one lonely kitty.
