I know that these have been answered in the past, I think, but I have no idea what people said. So I am just wondering, as my title states, what episode did Carter kiss Susan, and which episode did Deb shock Carter with the defibrilators?

Elaine, Deb shocked Carter in Season 1. I'm thinking it happened on the first epi she appeared in when she first met Carter, but I'm not certain about that. I can't remember the Carter/Susan kiss. I've been watching the rerun epis recently and have seen all of them since the first and so far I don't think I've seen a kiss between them. And I think I'd remember that. Susan's last epi airs in a week or so and Carter gets involved with Abby Keaton soon, so I'm wondering if there is a Susan/Carter kiss. He does ask Maggie Doyle out sometime later too...in Season 3 or 4 I think...but that doesn't go anywhere either.

Aah! That's why I missed it...they skipped the Christmas epi on TNT. Darn...have to wait until December to see that. I truly don't remember it from when it first aired. Our sweet Carter has been around after all, hasn't he?

Actually, I watched "The Gift" again, and Carter and Susan never actually kiss. Carter tries to kiss her, and Susan looks like she's about to, but then says that "we really shouldn't do this". Sounds like a Carter/Lucy thing, doesn't it? :)

I'm glad someone came up with the name of the episode because all I could remember about it were the gifts. Carter was Susan's secret santa and he gave her a really expensive music box; Susan then gave Carter her gift for Div which was a silk robe. I think this was after she tried calling him John and decided even that wouldn't work. Boy, women who call him by his first name really get his attention.

Elaine - I just saw the episode last week, since the reruns in my area are in the middle of season one right now. Deb shocked Carter in the episode called Luck of the Draw, which I think is #12. It is her first day, and Benton puts Carter in charge of her. Carter then has her do a rectal exam as her first task, but neglects to stress the importance of lubricant, so she does not have an easy time of it. Afterwards, during the trauma scene, Mark asks for the paddles, Deb holds them facing out, and Carter turns around right into them. Haleh assesses that he'll be alright - just got a bump on the head. Later, Haleh and Deb conspire to trick Carter into thinking Deb did a rectal exam on him while he was unconscious - because she needed the practice, of course. Poor Carter does not have such a pleasant day...but it is really funny. No wonder he and Deb are such good friends now, after all they've been through together! I hope that helps you...
