I would like to know the dates of the last steam passenger run and the last steam freight run of the Southern Railway System trains which ran from Knoxville, TN to Fonde, KY during the late 1940's/early 1950's. The railroad terminated at Fonde, KY (a coal-mining community on the border of TN/KY), with a Y-Switchback. I know the passenger train headquartered out of Knoxville, TN; however, the freight train may have headquartered out of Jellico, TN. Thank you, John H. Murrell
