Residents Urged To Boil Water

Some residents in Sarasota are being told to boil their water, due to a broken water main. It occurred yesterday along First Street and Cedar Point Drive. City crews were rerouting a 16 inch main, when the pressure got so high that it broke, and a nearby hydrant was blown to bits. Residents who lost pressure are being told to boil their water for the next 48 hours.
