Mark and Chuni? Aaargh! My eyes! My eyes!greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread |
I watched TNT's rerun of "Night Shift" tonight and I thought it was a great episode. I had remembered seeing this one before, because I remember the scene where they bring Gant in after he jumped in front of the train. But I swear I don't remember the thing with Mark and Chuni! I nearly fell off my couch! In a way, it was kind of funny, but - Mark???? And Chuni??? Where did THAT come from? Also, I loved the way there was an atmosphere of sticking together, in the scene with Mark and the nurses, and the way Carol just couldn't fire any of them. And how about the way Randi came up with the solution! Go Randi! It was hilarious when Malik, Chuni and Connie were riding down the hall in wheelchairs.

Melanie: I wasn't surprised when they ended up in bed - they'd been building up to it all night. But what surprises me is how you'd never know now - they do not intereact like to people who've slept together.Catherine

Well, they had a pretty good break off, better than any I've seen on the show. I think Chuney knew he just needed some support after Susan left. Remember in Random Acts, after Mark got beat up, Chuney argued with Kerry to let her stay and help, but she shooed her out of the room...I thought that showed that they are at least friends.

And when the psycho guy with the leg lac kicked Chuny across the room, Mark got furious and shoved his fingers into the cut on his leg to get him to stop thrashing and to shut him up. Don't recall what ep that was.

This rerun was the first time I ever saw this episode but I had read about how Mark and Chuny got together. I thought when I read it that it was weird. Seeing it proved it. I love Mark and I love Chuny but Mark and Chuny together just doesn't seem to work right. Maybe the writers saw that too and that's why it was so shortlived. As I've said many times before, I think Chuny and Carter belong together.
