I am using Upgrade Wizard to upgrade from SQL Server 6.5 to 7.0? I know that we can add or delete files from the file layout, we can also change the size of the file, change the file path etc etc. I would like to know this.

1. Can I specify .mdf file to use PRIMARY filegroup? 2. Can I specify .ndf file to use SECONDARY filegroup? 3. While specifying the size of the file should it be in KB?

I concur with your other correspondents. I would just let the Upgrade Wizard handle the transfer and then make modification once the database was converted to SQL Server 7.0 format.
