I just read through the article in the current issue about nestegg housing. Took a look at the website (www.formworksbuilding.com) and I am intrigued. What does anyone else think about this?I like the idea of very little heating and cooling costs-plus the flexibility of design-and no water leaking. And it seems to be adaptable for whereever you are. Seems tohave a lot going for it.
Just curious if anyone has any opinions on this-they claim it is possible to do it your self.

When we finish fixing up the present homestead, the Mrs and I will be constructing Nestegg structures(house, barn, and garage attached by tunnels). Ive read up on alternative building methods and I cant find anything else that compares. One thought though...from a brochure I received it seems that they prefer to use a shingle method of applying insulation board to the shell. I wouldnt agree to any such thing without a foam insulation layer over the shell first.

That is what I was wondering-the thought occurrd to me todo a house and barn and maybe workshop area...how does price seem to be to you? Really high or reasonable?I know nothing about the shingle method you mentioned-but I will keep that in mind. If it is not too nosey-where area of the conuntry are you in?

The shells themselves seem quite cheap. I think its the finishing that gets expensive quickly. NE Wisconsin.
