Does any of you know of a site that has truly old recipes? I am interested in recipes at least 100 years old or older. Thanks.

Green, forgot something....all of the catagories are "clickable", some are highlighted and some not. Also, if you go under weights and measurements, they list a "gill" as a measurement. Does anyone know anything about this measurement? Never heard of it!

Thanks!!! A gill is a measure a little under a pint--I believe 3/4 pint. I know that my grandfather's saying for something that he thought was worthless was, "I wouldn't give a gill of juice harps for it." LOL Thanks again.

Green, I have a copy of the "The Original Boston Cooking-School Cook Book" 1896 by Fannie Merritt Farmer. It is very interesting, and has some wonderful old recipies, even how to clean a wood stove. Bookmark Unit conversions. It's fun to play with anyway, and also useful if you have to translate between Imperial and US measures (and yes, that applies to cooking measures in recipes too).

Thanks everyone for the great information. I have enjoyed looking at the sites and look forward to trying some of the recipes. I don't think I'll make the Helmeted Cock from the godecookery site, though. Although it is interesting, I think it's a little more trouble than I had in mind. If anyone hasn't looked at the site, you really should, if only to see the picture. LOL
