we always talk about the possible interpretations of a given flux episode... but ever consider the cute little fillers that each episode has, which clearly and beyond a shadow of a doubt are without any meaning whatsoever? my personal favorite is when aeon is seemingly entertaining herself with an etch-a-sketch prior to the alien visiting aeon's apartment (end sinister). yup. it always leaves me delighted: aeon and the etch-a-sketch. anyone else have favorite filler?

Personally, I was never sure it was etch a sketch, I'm glad to here someone else say so, I love that part, it's not meaningless, but I love the part where Trevor whistles that odd little tune, every now and then I find myself whistling it.

I like the freaks & mutants in the cafeteria of Ether Drift Theory, they give kind of a "Naked Lunch" feel to the whole thing.

there is a rubber ducky in the pool where the clonned aeon bathes. remember the scene? trevor clones aeon and then sends her to get ready. and then she swims to the real aeon and they switch places. but prior to her diving in, she just wading in the water... and lo and behold! a yellow rubber ducky, a la ernie, floats around. rubber ducky = good.

I'm definitely with Frostbite on this one. However, I don't think I would call that scene "filler", and I don't think that anything in the world of Flux is just meaningless.

Perhaps "amusing" would be a better word. You know, little things that aren't pivotal to the story or characters, but just add a certain... coolness to the show, like the Breen-talk, or that part where the alien drinks with it's eye, or those guys playing with the squeeky toy...
