Sanford On Boil Water Alert A major water main at the corner of Airport Boulevard and State Road 46A in Sanford broke Tuesday afternoon while crews were trying to replace it. The break caused low water pressure or none at all for most of the city through Tuesday evening. Sanford is now on a boil water alert which will run through Thursday. This includes all of the city's water utility customers, which amounts to about 35-thousand people. There is a hotline for residents to check on how the water problem affects them.
