Country Singles Sites???greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
Any sites to let singles contact each other who have common rural or want to be rural backgrounds? Most I see are for the city folk.

Don, check out page 123 of the last issue, classified ads, far right column about half-way down. At one-time Countryside accepted singles (and penpals) items, but stopped doing so due to abuses, such as dirty old men or prisoners writing young girls. Hassle wasn't worth the effort. I don't know if they would accept a paid classified ad, but you might give it a try. I think the 'a new wrinkle with each issue' applied to Jd as much as the mag. Ask, I guess, Steve, at csymag@midway.tds.com.

Greensingles.com, while they do charge a fee, is one place to try--they attract all sorts of types--but I recall seeing some homesteaders there.

I like the "security" of first connecting through email. As a wannabe still in the city, I've taken advantage of a few city-based sites, but I guess they all think I'm crazy.

The response of checking out page 123 of the last issue seemed a bit hard for us who do not have ready access to back issues.Anybody remember what was being referred to as I would like to check it out???
Looking for a gal who likes sheep and MN winters and my sometimes ornery ways..
