2 Counties Without Water It's hot and you're gonna need water! Unfortunately for residents of two middle Tennessee counties, there is none. The Summertown Utility District, which serves Summertown, southern Maury and northern Lawrence County, has stopped pumping water. Officials say the wells are too low. Now, hundreds of people are without water. The American Red Cross has donated one-thousand gallons of drinking water for customers. Utility officials say they are trying to repair the wells, but are not sure how long it will take.
