I have a Epson Photo 700 now & I was wondering if the Epson 870 is that much better to warrent an upgrade? I just bought an Olympus C3030 camera & would like the BEST pics. I can print out of it (my wife expects it for the price of the camera).

I won't run down the numerous upgrades the 870 has over the Photo 700, all I will say is hell yes it's worth it. You will NOT be disappointed in any way (it's much quieter as well).

How do you use your printer? Are you and your wife happy with your current prints? Is the lifespan of the prints important?

Sure the new printer is better. But it'll cost you $260 and the consumables are also probably more expensive.
