Looking for the best combo of still and motion camcorder.greenspun.com : LUSENET : Imaging Resource Discussion : One Thread |
I have a Canon A5zoom which I "wear" most of the time, but now I need something with more than a couple minutes of motion in addition to high megapixel quality still images. I am planning a trip overseas next spring and can wait for a while if some "exciting" new model camcorder is about to be put on the market. A number of such combo digital camcorders are now available, but I can't find reviews of them which give very thorough information about their still imaging capabilities. Can you suggest those current models which might meet my need for something both small, with megapixel resolution and a good optical zoom lens(at least 12x), and is there a web site which gives camcorder reviews of the same calibre as "The Inmaging Resource"does for still digitals? All suggestions and advice on the pros and cons of such camcorders will be appreciated.
