Don't ya jest hate pumpin up that dumb sprayer? How about buildin a battery powered one? You'll need a little trailer of some sort to haul it in. Find an old gasoline tank with an "in tank" electric fuel pump that works. Should be 3 wires on top of the tank. One will be fuel guage and one will be fuel pump. The third should be ground. Locate the one that runs the pump. With some water in the tank, turn on the juice and see which line is the discharge line. When thats located, attatch a length of rubber hose to it. If the trailer is gonna be pulled by a ridin mower, make sure the hose is long enough to reach the seat. Take the valve/handle from an old pump up sprayer and install on end of the long hose. Run a "Hot" wire to the pump with a switch where you can turn it on and off. You can load the mixture thorgh the fill spout. If you want, you can also install a guage - no more stickin a stick inside the tank to find out how much spray you have left. This is really a cheep-skate idea but I guess I'm a cheep-skate. Guess I could take picts. of this gizmotchie and send'm to Steve--that is if he wants to publish'm. How about home made air compressors-made from scrounged parts? We've got that too. Matt. 24:44

Good one , Hoot. I did one by taking a 20 gal soda syrup can (the heavy blue plastic type) , put a spray hose ,tire air stem and popoff in it. Air it up with a cigarette plug compressor pluged into the lawnmower. Great for spraying for fleas while mowing.

hoot i dont like to pump either but i dont spray all that much. i bought a sprayer with a pop off and drille a 1/2 hole in the top of it and installed a tubless tire valve stem and air it with batt. powered air comp. Bob in s.e ks.
