What is up with the TNT schedule lately?greenspun.com : LUSENET : ER Discussions : One Thread |
I apologize if this question has been asked already, but I've been away for a while. What is up with the TNT schedule this week? They seem to be jumping from season to season. Last night Genie's ex was diagnosed with aids. Tonight they are back together. I know these events took place in two different seasons. Is TNT showing some of the episodes that got the highest votes but not enough to make it for the marathon on Monday? That is the only explanation I can come up with. I checked the older threads but I couldn't find the answer. Thanks.

I was thinking the same thing. Maybe these are runners up from the marathon vote.

Hubby and I decided that the powers-that-be at TNT have been closing their eyes and pointing a finger at a list of ER episodes each day. Whatever the finger hits, that's what they'll run! I don't know about your area, but the episodes running haven't been matching what's listed in the local paper either. That's okay, Monday will make it worth it!

Okay. Here's the deal. Yes this has been explained over and over again and I'll explain it yet again. In fact someone may want to put this in the FAQ section. Anyways starting Tuesday at 9am and 10am eastern they'll be showing all episodes in order including the Christmas eppys. Now until the 17th they'll be showing eppys at random at 6pm eastern. Starting the 18th they'll be showing the 6th season. Then on Oct. 17th they'll show the 5th season at 6pm eastern. No in addition to that every Tuesday at 11pm eastern they'll be showing eppys in random order. I hope this explains it. Why they are doing it I don't know. It may be becuse it would be boring to see the same episode three times in one day.

why not show all the episodes in order at 6pm when people are actually home? oh well, at least the pilot will be on this way. later

Wow. Sorry, Cammie, don't think anyone posted the question to tick you off. Just a little comment, no offense. (That was my first contribution, someone remind me not to do it again.)

RB- I think the threads may have been deleted if you couldn't find any. Sorry if I sounded mean. I've been in a bad mood lately thanks to my ex-boyfriend which I really don't want to talk about. Please feel free to post whenever you want. Sorry again.

Something's still up with the TNT schedule. I hit the site to find out when TNT would start showing the 7th season episodes (I missed so many of them)and they start playing them on Sept 25 @ 9:00 and 10:00am eastern in chronological order each day. There's no listing (yet?) for the 6:00pm slot as of Sept 25 onward, however the problem is that they skip the season opener, "Homecoming," and instead begin with the second epidsode, "Sand and Water." The other problem is that they skip episodes seven through ten ("Rescue Me" through "Piece of Mind"). Instead, they go from "The Visit" straight to "Rock, Paper, Scissors" and then they stop at "Thy Will Be Done." I suppose they simply haven't added additional showings after "Thy Will..." yet, but I'm in a tizzy as to why they skip "Home..." and "Rescue..." through "Piece..." I emailed them and am presently awaiting a reply...yeah, right. Anyone of you experts have any idea what's going on here? Obviously, I'm a novice at this and need some reassurance. I'd hate to have to constantly monitor the schedules in order to catch those episodes that I miss. And what if I have to wait months or a year?! blah, blah, blah...I'll let you know if TNT replies...

Speaking of schedules...the season premiere for the 8th season will be September 20th on NBC.

Cool! I wonder if Mike will finally let us post new topics on here then. We haven't been able to do that since back in early March.

I'm impressed! TNT did respond to my email about why they skip several episodes of the 7th season on their September schedule. Basically, NBC has not yet released the five episodes I mention--they have kept them for future play on their network for the time-being. When they are released by NBC to TNT, then TNT will air them. Simple enough...

In regards to TNT's wacky ER schedule as of late ... I saw a commercial on TNT the other day that said the were going to start running NYPD Blue in ER's 6pm slot sometime in September, and something else at 7pm (The Pretender maybe?). There was no mention of ER at all ... I wonder if this means they will only be showing ER in the mornings?
