Hi folks, Thanks for all your suggestions. I tried the easiest suggestion first and got a different brand of buttermilk. It worked great! Yummy cheese, liquid (not slimy) whey! I cultured a little buttermilk as well as the cheese so I'll have a decent starter to use on upcoming batches. Thanks again!!
