What sort of thing do you think about when you're supposed to be paying attention?--Al

The moment of departure and my mind begins its wandering trip, there is no compass or map and fiercely independent my mind strikes off on its own. Occasionally returning in time to cause my body to rise and move with the rest of the herd. Shamefully I admit that some of my best thinking has been done when in the "automatic drive" mode.

My major in college was children's literature, where we studied C.S. Lewis, Robert Cormier, Shakespear, etc. This gave me many story lines to ponder when I was in those less desirable Algerbra classes, and I'm afraid that after college the habit never died. Far too much of my time is spent in Narnia, or in Shakespear's Venice...
