Why did my bread taste so yeasty?

When I made baguettes, they turned out looking and smelling great. However, while eating them, they tasted overwhelmingly of yeast rather than of bready goodness. Why would this happen, and how can I avoid it in the future?

Try not putting so much yeast in them that is probably what happend in the first place
