I hate being reminded that I'm not healthy and there isn't anything I can do about it right now.

I don't like being reminded of the mistakes I made in the past, ecspecially concerning teaching and kids. I don't lose my temper often, and really regret it when I do. But I suppose all teachers, and parents, feel the same way.

I hate being reminded of the things that put my oldest daughter in an assisted living home who does not have the ability to speak and functions in a childlike manner. The saving grace is that we are near enough to visit and that she is happy where she is, and happy to be with us when we visit.

I don't like being reminded of my childhood - it was very tramatic. I don't like being reminded of my early romantic relationships, because they were dysfunctional. And I'll guess I'll leave it at that. Although I was rather chagrined the other day about being reminded to straighten my skirt. I went into the restroom at work, and came back out with my skirt caught up into the back of my panties. (here's a visual - a full-figured grandmother walking down the hall with her granny panties showing.....ewwwww!) Anyway, the one person that was standing there was a young kid of about 17. So, he's tramatized right now. But we must be cousins after this level of intimacy, don't you think?

The only thing I don't like being reminded of is the worst thing I've ever done. When I was married the first time, I struck my wife in anger. It was wrong, and will never happen again. But I don't like being reminded of it.

I hate being reminded of my capriciousness. I have a family member who absolutely loves to say things like, "You know you'll never do that. Last year you said you wanted to be a reading teacher," and other things like that.
