CHICAGO (AP) -- Trading in grain futures and
options was halted for nearly 40 minutes

Trading was initially carried out by paper when
the glitch occurred, but exchange officials shut
down all transactions a few minutes later amid a
backlog of orders. The outage lasted from 10:47 a.m.
to 11:25 a.m. CDT.
