This will be hard since I am a democrat, but I'll do my best. I don't like it when democrats look at the poles too much, and change accordingly. I admire personal convictions. It disturbs me that democrats are so pro-choice, ecspecially considering the racist roots of planned parenthood. That's the best I can do playing the devils advocate. I love Gore's social security plan, education plan, and tax plan. I grew up poor and I don't have much sympathy if Bill Gates wants to buy a new mansion with Bush's tax plan. When I vote for Gore, I will do it as a tribute to my working class background. Unbeknownst to Bush, some of us actually had to work to support ourselves and make ends meet.

I'm going to blow the Mark Twain quote, but he said something to the effect of: If you're not a liberal before you're 25, you have no heart, and if you're not a conservative after you're 35, you have no head.

Mostly, It Doesn't Work. Touchy-feely is all very fine, but It Doesn't Work. If you remember, England was about brought to a standstill last month because people are paying 300% tax on gas in order to finance their Health Care System, and just ask them how the HCS does.

Our Constitution is a great document that supports the idea of people being responsible for themselves. No Uncle doling out all the goodies and incidently therefore telling you how you should live.

Gore was suggesting to that single woman that if she was paying a tutor $1000 that would be a tax credit, happy day, which would come directly from the pocket of my daughter, who can doubtless use that money herself for her own child. She worked for it, she should have it. The single woman should, certainly, get tax relief, but she shouldn't have to jump through government-mandated hoops to do so.

And Bill Gates would get your free drugs on Gore's plan, since it covers everyone.

BOTH candidates are treating the surplus as though it were real, and of course it is not.

That was Winston Churchill who said, "If you're not a liberal before you're 25 you have no heart. If you're not a conservative after you're 25 you have no brain." These numbers, which I have quoted as being 25 years of age, are changed so frequently and I have yet to find two sources with the same numbers. I keep looking though.

Liberals of any definition are just to, well soft. They are soft on the workers and soft on the bosses, take a side.

Anti war/racist/homophobia/sexist liberals are great, but need to go thatlittle bit further.

Hell, I'm a trotskyist, churchill was a warmonger and was not elected during the war and after he was kicked out! The US liberals have done just as much in bombing the globe as the rest of the ruling class etc. Read some Michael Moore, they guy is not a marxist he is just saying it as it is and well that's quite good for a non marxist. Chomsky and Zinn are pretty cool too.
