meanwhile, back at the farm...greenspun.com : LUSENET : Countryside : One Thread |
our does are getting bred from a nice little Alpine buck I bought that came out of Gravels End Ranch...(if any of you folks near need to borrow him let me know). I am going to clean out the goat barn this coming week and put the offerings on the garden site for next year. Harvest whats left of the herbs, pretty soon prune the fruit trees, and try another approach to yarding for my free-wheeling chickens. Oh....and when I said about being near concerning the buck...we're in NE Kansas, closest big city being Lincoln, NE.

Did Lincoln ever get their trees cleaned up after that ice storm a few years ago-what a mess, and lots of free fire wood for the industrious. Since you've got so much energy, could I interest you in a scientific experiment? Half your garden covered with goat offerings, and half covered with sheep offerings? See which side does better. And, I just happen to know where there's a barn with all the sheep offerings you could want. Gerbil
