Does anyone have or have heard of a kitten (six months) with FIP that has survived.

I am very distraught and would try anything to save him.

Hi; I really hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the poor kitty has no chance. My niece had purchased a "Ragdoll" kitten back in the spring and it had FIP. We know our vet on a personal level and she explained the nasty facts of this disease. I do not want to go on and on about it, but please don't let that poor sweet kitten suffer. I'm really sorry.....unless there is anyone else out there with a miracle. You can look up this disease on the internet for more information. My niece still is so broken-hearted. Her "baby" was only about 4 months old.

Last year we lost an adult cat to FIP. Although I do not have a lot of hope for your situation, I found support not only from my vet, but also from the doctors at Cornell Feline Health Center at Cornell University. Their number is 800-548-8937. They were a wonderful support to us at a difficult time. Also, if you do not have The Cornell Book of Cats, I would highly recommend it as a resource. I hope you can find the help you need at this really tough time.
