I can still watch it(once a week) thanks to the fact that I'm Canadian, and the fact that YTV doesn't have taste as crappy as those idiots at Fox Kids. It's a good series, I think it's on eppisode....12 or something. I dunno. Fox kids might put it back on in the new year though, I think they are idiots, not letting even a third of the series be shown before canceling it. I wish that they haden't canceled Flint the time detective too, Fox Kids Sucks!!!!!! *grabs a flamethrower and runs of to torch the idiots that canceled Escaflowne* MOREO!!! Death to fox kids.fox messes everything up. first power rangers has been going for who knows how many years.Second this isnt the first time they have pulled good shows. And why in the miss guided world did they put nascar racers back on. that show was gay its first season and they give it a second season. i loved escaflowne. after the first 3 episodes i was hooked. also was it just me our was that opening song awesome. plus unlike most fox kids shows this had a little blood.plus it showed part of hitomi bra. I cant believe i am saying this but i wish i lived in canada. YTV or whatever isnt as gay foxkids. by the way besides voilence what else was so bad about the japanese virsion and was it a kids show? alot of people may disagree but from what i read on the internet i think some of foxes changes were good.

Escaflowne was such an excellent show. It had such excellent fighting features and I was hooked onto it from the first show. They had to bring back that Nascar Racer crap. I'm glad they still have it on Y.T.V. Go Canada!

I had the luck of watching the entire thing at my school's anime club showing. (That's before Bandi decided that they were gonna go into the US market, and stopped all Fan-sub materials). Its pretty good... a few of the later ones feels like its running out of the steam, but good show.

Hmm from what I understand I think I know why Escaflowne was pulled. I didn't see it so I'm luckily not going through withdrawal symptoms. I remember some saying it showed 'Hitomi's bra'. That's probably it right there. Some irate PTA mothers probably saw it with their children of heard about from them and wrote angry letters to Fox. In order to keep the general public(not us anime fans) happy they pulled. So see we can thank little children and American ethics for this. This is why I don't like America. Other people think I'm crazy for disliking the good ol' US of A but I would like to know what our ethics have gotten us? School shootings apparently? No. I believe that in fact the people that would shoot others are just plain mentally disturbed. It has nothing to do with violent video games and anime. Now see!!! This thing on Escaflowne getting pulled got me on a ramble about American ethics. Oh yeah and another thing. People always say porn is bad and children get punished for purposefully looking at it(which they should) but if everyone believes Doom and Resident Evil are what is starting school shootings then shouldn't children who play those games be punished more harshly? Let's get our priorities in line America or better yet let's stop the hypocracy.

Escaflowne is the best. I saw it on subtilled computer CD's. FOx is stupid, but I can understand why it was pulled. There is a lot of blood in it. Me? I say the more blood the better. And there is a kissing sceen between Allen asd Hitomi. Anyway, as some of you may no dought have nothiced, episode one was never shown. It went from 2-9. In episode 1, Van has to go to Earth to fight a earth dragon in order to become king. He gets knocked down by the dragon adn coughs up blood, then later, he kills the dragon which spurts green blood everyewhere. It must have been hard to edit the first one so they never showned it. The later episodes get violent so maybe they got lazy. But if that is true, then they never sould have shown it in the first pace. I like the american version translations better in one of the episods also. And did you know they never translated the cus words? Why? All the kids in Elemntrey school. I don't see the big deal. Grown up for christs sake. Any christains that have a problem with that line? Get a life too. Want to know how it ended? Then mail me and I'll tell you.

Hey for a start Anime is the best and anyone who doesnt like it is obviously so far inbred they have no taste at all. But on to my point I loved Escaflowne and watched it fan-subbed ages before its fox kids release when i heard it was coming out i was annoyed bout the editing but thought it would be cool to watch a dubbed version of the series . It was actually cut quite well considering but then they canned it not even a 3rd through the series!!! Jesus if your not gonna show the whole thing dont show it at all. I started a chain letter on the net for a template letter complaining about the cancellation in the end 1000+ of these were sent !!! and i even got a letter from fox telling me to stop it hehe. o my god i hate being in USA cause they always freaken think it's too much for us lil kids today! i mean my lil cousin watch Power Rangers and they r being to fight with each other and with me too! I feel bad for you guys. In Britain we saw it all, but in the UK we get all the old stuff and they're so damn choosy about what and when they show, i mean we only jus got transformers RiD and you've had it over there for nearly a year, but we get stuff like Medabots and Digimon tamers only 1 or 2 months after it's shown (i know this cos i was in america at august '01 and i saw Medabots and a promo for transformers). Escaflowne's good but i haven't seen all the episodes but the last episode is kinda sad. Also does Fox kids have its own seperate channel like over here or is it just shown at certain times on the Fox network?

Anyways, I finally watched the entire Escaflowne series, un-edited. My friend Sarah bought the whole thing. I loved it... loved it... LOVED it. Folcan is just TOO FLIPPIN' COOL! The longhaired blonde would be Alan Shazar, a knight of Esturia. He's voiced in the English dubbed version by my all time favorite voice talent, Brian A. Drummond... it was why I originally watched the show, just to hear Drummond's voice. I love his voice!!! He's been in a LOT of things.
