Who is the Anthony Lee that the 11/23/00 episode was dedicated to?
-- Lena Mitchell (lena.mitchell@excite.com), November 29, 2000
There is a previous thread about this, but Anthony Lee was the actor who was accidentally shot during a Hollywood Halloween Party by the police because they thought he was aiming a real gun at them and it was a fake gun; part of his costume. He played Mr. Florio, Carter's patient, I believe.

Yup, he was Mr. Floria, the patient Carter chased down.

What episode/season? Why did Carter chase him down? I'm confused? What nationality was this paitent or what was his condition? thanks.

He was on the 11/23/00 episode here in the US. Season Seven, episode seven..."Rescue Me." Carter chased him down because the patient actually had a blood clot in his knee, but Carter thought the guy was complaining of pain because he was drug-seeking. Anthony Lee/Mr. Floria's African American.

He was also in an epi in 1994.

What episode was that?

I went to IMDB.com to see if I could find the 1994 epi. It has that he was in ER 1994 (2000) and then an earlier entry that says ER 1994. They identify our ER as ER 1994 since there have been other series/movies/etc. called ER, so the first entry refers to the epi from November. The other doesn't state a year but, if it is correct at all, it probably is from 1994 or 1995 since the entries are in order by appearance and the next one is in one of those years (I didn't take notes so don't remember which). He's not listed in the cast under "more cast." This actually muddies the water more than helps but unless a title comes up, I'm wondering if he was actually on an earlier epi.

IMDB shows actor credit based on the year the series began. Since ER started in 1994, that's what it shows up as. (For a funny example of this, look at Tara Reid's filmography and note that she's credited with appearing in a show before she was born. It does, however, say (1995) next to her name, which is a new thing for the IMDB.)Anthony Lee is listed twice because someone screwed up. It happens with fairly recent additions to the database.

Anthony helped our teenage daughter pull through severe depression for several years. They met through religious activities. Our daughter says Anthony Lee dedicated his life to helping young people who were going through hard times. He often called our daughter just to make sure she was OK and to encourage her. Naturally, she was terribly saddened by what happened to him. We found out at his memorial service that many many young people were inspired and saved by him. And that Anthony considered such his life's mission.
