Well, Uncle Bob, here's a question for you: If either of the candidates were thrown into the "real world" to make a living, whose chances are better? That would be Al Gore. Why? George W. Bush has already shown that everything he touches goes straight into the toilet, losing large sums of money for his backers. (Oh. I forgot. He made a huge profit off of his impounding the land around the Park at Arlington; funny how he and his partners used a fraction of that land for the actual stadium, then proceeded to develop the hell out of the rest of the impounded land to their benefit.) He also has shown that he is incapable of working an eight-hour day, let alone the 60-hour work weeks required of most professionals in this economy. Al Gore held a private sector job after he came back from his stint in Vietnam, and from all indications, he managed to keep a roof over his family's head, food on the table, and the bills paid, relying on his own initiative. I also don't worry about either Al Gore or Joe Lieberman running and hiding at "the ranch" when things get rough.

You're free to impugn Mr. Lieberman, but the background I have read about him indicates that he is respected by his associates in the House and Senate as someone who gets things done.

Hey, Uncle Bob, I realize that you think your sarcasm is tres funny, but you can't even come up with a cogent argument, can you? This isn't TB2000 or the "improved" TB2000, so you might want to reach into your bag of tricks to post something more interesting than the usual ad hominem attacks.

Again, please answer my questions: When was the last time George W. Bush worked an eight-hour day? Do you honestly believe that he has the attention span and study skills to serve in the Presidency? Why is Bush routinely "out of the loop," as evidenced last week?

BTW, I'm hoping that Bush is confirmed, sooner than later. Why? The Republican routing of 1994 will look like a practice run in 2002, when the Democrats take back Congress. The Democrats will hold the Congress indefinitely. The White House will again be ours in 2004.
