I live in SW Indiana so can't really help you with a live animal, but try asking at the feed store. They know who buys goat feed and can probably hook you up to a name! Good luck.

If you can make it over to Alabama or NW Florida I can give you some phone numbers to call.

Yes,I can drive to states around MS.I would like to buy from farms rather than get them from a stockyard.I would like to buy three or four milking does in the spring.

Call your county extension agent and ask for the 4-H goat leader. That person should be able to point you toward a couple of good breeders of the goat breed of your choice. I have found Oberhasli and Nigerian herds in less than two hours that way when I was visiting other places. Good luck!

If Houston Texas isn't to far to come, contact me, a gal friend of mine is having the middle of next month several LaMancha milkers for sale, I also will have a few Nubians. Vicki

There are some on-line lists of goat breeders. They may or may not have up-to-date information (!!) but provide a starting point. If you are actually able to contact one or two people from the list, they may be able to put you in touch with someone else, ef they don't have what you are looking for. That is how we found the goats we are buying. Also, go on one of the goat lists -- or all of them -- and post a request, telling what you are looking for and where. (I did get one response from Florida, which is just a *little* bit too far away from New Hampshire to be a practical drive!! :-) Good luck.
