We have just come across many cannisters of Agfa camera positives, on sprockets that were takenn by my grandfather in the 30's and 40's in Hawaii. Can anyone tell me how to view them safely and if we can have them transferred to VHS?

Can you scan the positives. If you can, then do that at a high resolution if it is small. Then, find a computer that has the ability to give video out and just record it to vhs. You could also save your pics to cd.
