We watch the show but never found out what happened to the Bikers that built such a great car that went on land and water. They won but did not seem to move on to the next round. The men in Arms lost with there gun but they moved on to the next round. What's up? Are we all confused or what?

You are conflating two years of shows. The marathon was the second season, and there the brothers did get taken out in their first round, and Bowser advanced. In the third year, the reverse happened. Bowser lost out in their first time up, the Brothers out- bridged the Mothers, and we meet them in the final.
