I have an all white Maine Coon named Frosty. He is approaching two years old. Would I be able to walk him with a harness and a lease? Ive heard varying reports on the subject. Can anyone advis me? Thanks. Bob

I have wondered about this as well but whether on a leash or running free aren't we exposing our cherished pets to the *dangers* of the outside like disease, ticks or fleas? Then, how do you keep them happy inside once they've seen *Paris*?

We have a Maine Coon that loves to go for walks. Whenever he hears us open the drawer where we keep his harness and leash he comes running to get it put on. However, we only walk him in our yard to avoid unwanted encounters with stray dogs, cats, etc. Make sure the harness fits fairly tighty so he cannot back out of it if he gets scared (which happened to us once). When you first put the harness on let him walk around the house to get used to it. After a few times attach the leash and walk him around the house. After a few times then take him into your yard for a real walk.

They can be trained to walk on a leash and love it. Our Maine Coon is 3.5 years old and is 15 pounds. We sarted him as soon as we got him with a "Kindness" harness. He has been going camping with us since we got him. We have no behavior problems with him. He even likes to go out in the winter to walk in the snow.
