I am a single mom with 12 yr old son who lost his beloved cat Zak of 7 years to diabetes a few months ago. Fell in love recently with a blue maine coon kitten, but could not afford the $700.00 the pet store wanted for her. Live in Illinois (Naperville to be exact) If there is anyone in the area with blue Maine Coons for sale, would appreciate hearing from you. Does not need to be show quality, just looking for family pet. Will be in a very loving home.

I think Blue Maine coons are not often found and are stumbled upon by chance. I have one my breeder wanted to keep until a tiny locket was discovered on his chest. Lucky me! This huge boy is a lover and the smartest pet I've ever had. Anyway, try this web site: http://www.mcbfa.org/kitten-bank/ for kittens available and color descsriptions. But I wouldn't get my pet from a pet store If I were you. There are so many reputable breeders out there and so many people who want Maine Coons that I would be wondering why a Maine Coon ended up at a pet store.
