Answers

Most molds grow quicker on moist bread. If you try an experiment, the moist bread will quickly grow some black blotches. This is called "Black Bread Mold," for obvious reasons. If you are interested about the BB mold, e mail me.

It seems there might be alittle hitch to the answer that mold grows quicker on moist bread...I am helping my daughter with her project on the same subject and it has been almost 2 weeks and still no mold on the dry or wet (the moist ones are wrapped in plastic) when i looked at bread.com it says that the more moisture in bread the longer it will keep, but to be sure to put it in an airtight container...maybe sealing it doesn't allow the mold spores in??? let me know if you have completed your project and if this is what you found,too....we need help!!!! thanks

I'm doing a simalar project on how long certian plastic bags keep bread fresh. I'm nearly done but my bread is moist and it took it 3 weeks to grow an orangeish-yellow mold. I have no clue about how long it takes for dry bread to grow mold. I do know that mold needs a cold, dry, and dark environment to grow.

Well, definitly on moist braed. Moisture is one of the factors that cause mold to grow. Dry bread will become stale faster,and moist bread will mold faster. I am doing an experiment will bread mold and moisture and refrigeration. If you have any questions about this project, please mail me.
