Win-Win idea for next seasongreenspun.com : LUSENET : Junkyard Wars : One Thread |
Here's a Win-Win idea for next season. Kill the American version and save the cost of producing a second show. Bring Cathy back to team up with Robert again. Use the extra money to fly the American teams to England so they can fight it out with the Brits. It would be a blast. Besides, the Americans can use the vacation! :-}

AFAIK rdf no longer has access to their UK location so they will be filming the UK series in the US.(To reply in email replace blort dot invalid with anime dot net)

Why does RDF no longer have access to their original playyard?

I believe that they lost the lease on the junkyard and it was recycled back into the larger junkyard which was surrounding it. One thing that the Production crew is going to be happy about is the weather in California. That was one of the bummers about filming in Britain....the rains. I personally think it adds to the drama of the builds, but from a camera stand point???? Sunny California, Yeah!

Let's just hope that it's not down in smell-A....makes me gag every time I go there....I grew up there (is that personal problem?)and it's where I'm headed this weekend to Pomona swap.It'll sure make it easy on all us California hopefuls that are submiting teams though!

Even more win-win: Take both the 8 teams that would have been used for the UK series and the 8 teams that would have been used for the US series and double the length of the series. It'd be even better.
