Developing black and white prints.

All of my 8 x 10 black and white prints contain a 1/8th inch black line along the edge. Some prints contain black clouds at verious places on the print. Some times they look like smoke or spots of solid black. I have check to see if smoke is passing over the lens while the paper is being exposed and see none. I have taken the Saunders LPL 670VCCE V.C. enlarger back and talke to the expert at Calumet Photographic to no avail. Can anyone help?

It sounds like some sort of light leak is causing an exposure, or possibly your paper has been exposed to light or is very old.

I agree with Ed's Anser . It is also possible that the paper Has not been stored in the proper tempeture . Try refrigerating you paper to the paper standerds . Happy printing ;)
