I have a nine month old Maine Coon female. I had her spayed at 5 months of age. The last two months she has been exhibiting strange behavior for about a week at a time. She becomes very vocal, runs about in a fury, and she can't seem to be pleased. At all other times she is very loving, sleeps with me, etc, but during these spells she doesn't like to be touched and even tries to bite and scratch me. Any suggestions?

What type of food are you feeding her? Any new types of treats? Or are you using some type of perfume, soap, etc. that she may not like?

Have you taken her to the vet? Best to rule out all physical reasons for her behaviour first.
