We just relocated to Alexandria, VA and have two Maine Coon kitties, (1 year and 13 years old). We go away on occasion and would like to find a very reliable, trustworthy cat sitter to care for our 2 kitties -- feeding them twice a day and giving them the kind of attention they need. We didn't see anything on this web site about cat sitters. I'm hoping a breeder or someone who has adopted Maine Coon cats can refer us to someone in this area. I have received names off of Pet Sitters International's web site for northern VA, but I'm not sure that there is any true regulation of the business in terms of professional standards (other then voluntary guidelines). I want to make sure that whoever has access to our place is someone that we can trust professionally and takes good care of our kitties. Our new vet here could not provide recommendations and our breeder suggested we pose the question on this web site. Please let us know if you have any recommendations. Thanks! Sheri.
