My husband and I are interested in obtaining a pet quality silver/white classic tabby male kitten. We recently got a silver/white classic tabby female, she was spayed 12/23/00, (we will supply vet proof). She's 6 months old and needs a playmate her age. Our older domestic shorthair plays with her sometimes. But she's somewhat aloof and this frustrates the baby. We live in the New York City area. New baby can be same age or younger. Please help. I recently met a breeder at a show that specializes in silver Maine Coons. They are listed in the breeder directory on this website as Mainly Silver Maine Coons. You can send them an e-mail at pilar@mainlysilver.com. They are located in the NYC area. One of thier cats at the show took many awards and in my opinion was the best Coon in the show. While I don't know much about this breeder except that they were friendly and happy to answer my questions and had beautiful cats, its a place to start. We went to this show looking for a companion for our two other Coons and met with a breeder that was highly reccomended. We will hopefully be adopting a retired show cat from this breeder in May.
