can we use stretch mame to submit recordings?

I would argue against using it for recordings because it's not an official version (is it? I don't think so.)

If people don't have the patients to wait a few weeks to improve their scores and record with a Mame32 official version that will be more readily available to download in the future, i guess there's nothing to stop them except a lack of respect from me for not recording with an official version.

practice with any mame you like, record with official versions (preferably tg versions like m35tg3). The less versions submited the more likely they will be played back for generations to come...

For many people it's not a case of not having the 'patients' to wait for an official release. I used StretchMAME32 because I like the stretched full screen image, being a Windows app it supports my USB stick (DOS mame doesn't), and I will continue to use it until the official MAME32 supports fullscreen stretch modes (if ever).

And don't forget- tgmame is an unoffical version of MAME as well.

you're right that tgmame is not an official version, but it's more official to marp and the competative spirit than the original official version.

I welcome any unofficial version that creates recordings that ALWAYS playback with an official version. Case in point: the pentium optimized versions seem to be living up to that. However, strechmame is unproven since we can only be certain of this untill the official one comes out...

already you can't get strech mame by clicking the "getmame" version and i doubt you'll be able to download strech mame through the link once the official version gets put in it's place.
