I just saw a story on MSNBC about last week's episode...apparently the whole vaccine issue got a lot of people angry. You can read the story here:

Answers

Only the parents who believe what they read on the Internet versus what is published in peer reviewed journals (or their doctors).

As of yet, there is no proof vaccines cause any more damage than the actual disease (Wakefield data set = 12, not statistically significant)... which is why they made vaccines in the first place... they didn't like seeing kids go blind, deaf, mentally disabled or die.

My impression was that the parents did not give the vaccines had nothing to do with autism, but a misguided belief that a vaccine would hurt the immune system.
