If you had to write a eulogy for Al, what would you say?--Al
-- Al Schroeder (al.schroeder@nashville.com), February 25, 2001
I knew this man only through his writing, yet I feel that his character and devotion to family shone out like a sun. He was a man with varied interests, none of which were bad as far as I know. I have noted the affection others had for Al, as well as reading him for quite some time and admiring him and his thoughts more and more each time I went to his page. I believed that he truly grieved for his son, struggled to keep on an even keel for his family and himself. I would have lent him my car, whatever amount of cash I could lend him when he was in need . . . . he never asked . . . . he handled things himself. The people on this earth are diminished by one huge personality. I will miss him.
