If a friend did something that really hurt you and really betrayed you and was eventually ready to apologize... what would you do? How do you reconcile when someone hurts you? How do you bridge the gap?

Well the update is that i'm going to slowly attempt to get the friendship back on track. It will be very different though - it's a different level of intimacy in that i don't want to share as much any more, nor do i want to hear as much from her. I want it to be a mild friendship until i'm sure i am ready for more because there was a big breach of trust and a lot of hurt and betrayal.

We'll see...

I usually forgive friends. At least the first time. I don't give many second chances. And it depends on what the "hurt" was. Forget my birthday? no biggie. Get drunk and tell about my girlfriend about the strippers? ehhh. kinda pissed, but still forgivable. Not sure where my forgiveness would end. I am still friends with friends who have slept with girlfriends afterall :)
