We are about to purchase a new kitten for our family after having to put to rest our previous cat 1 1/2 years ago. We have fallen in love with the Maine Coon. The breeder that I have been talking to is an acquaintance from my daughter’s school. She believes that kittens should be sold at 10 weeks due to the bonding that occurs weeks 11 and 12. I have not heard of this in the past, most wait until 12 weeks. Is this a concern? Thanks for your input! :-)

Check your local laws, many prohibit the sale of kittens and puppies before 12 weeks of age.
