How do you bake bread with seeds on top without them falling off

Prior to putting the bread into the oven brush the loaf with an egg wash (Dark crust: egg yolk and a teaspoon of water; Light crust: egg white and a teaspoon of water and a pinch of salt)and then sprinkle seeds on the loaf and put it into the oven.
