My M6TTL w 50 f2 Summicrongreenspun.com : LUSENET : Leica Photography : One Thread |
After almost 2 months with my M6TTL w/ 50 f2 Summicron, I'm glad to say that I made the right choice. I've seen a big difference with the pictures I took and the way I take pictures. The pictures are really sharp!!! I also take the camera with me more often. I know I still have to practice more to get better results and I'm looking forward to that. Also; I want to thank everyone who participates in this forum. This forum helped me decide to get the M6 and also made me learn more about Leica Photography.thanks again....

Hi Michael. I am just like you! Two months ago I got an M6TTL 0.58 and a 50mm Summicron. Never happier! I haven't fired a single exposure with my SLR since (seriously thinking of ditching it BTW). I have been shooting Delta 400 exclusively (in XTOL at 1:1), except I just shot a roll of Provia after reading some of Erwin Puts' praise for the Summincron (I want to see those slide projected to about 4 feet by 6 feet). The Delta 400 is beautifully matched to the M and my shooting style. Daylight to Nightlife, that 'cron & Delta 400 are ready. Man, I just need to find the light! I am amazed at what I can get at 1/30 second and f2, even 1/15 and 1/8 sometimes.I am going to have some fun soon and bolt the M to a big old tripod I have and shoot some Tech Pan (the ultimate in fine grain). I'll rack my enlarger all the way up with my 40mm EL-Nikkor to see what that 'cron can do. (I expect to be impressed).
I also agree totally about Lusenet/Leica. Great people here. Only problems is, there needs to be more activity. I have yet to tire from This Lens vs. That Lens comparos. Doubt that I ever will when it comes to Leica.
Anyway, have fun, shoot often, and don't settle for second best.
Dan
