We live in the Orlando, FL area and believe it or not, there are not too many pygmy dwarf male goats! I want to mate my female who is going into heat about twice a month! She is 2 years old, and more than ready to have babies ­ and I'm ready for some milk, cheese & butter! I don't even have a vet around here who works with farm animals, I was even thinking about artificial insemination, but I can't be sure that the father is the type that I want. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Michele

Well if Georgia is not too far, I have an extra pygmy buck that I need to sell as he is the last one left except for the old buck we are keeping. He's chocolate, and beautiful and 3.5 years old.

So are you talking about a pygmy or a dwarf? They are different breeds, with different builds and different milking abilities. What is it you are looking for?

If it doesn't matter to you what type of offspring you get , You can breed your dwarf with any milker.I breed a small pygmy doe with a large framed nubian buck.It was the does first breeding.She gave birth just as easy as if I breed her with a pygmy.
